Membership
How does membership work?
As a member, you get access to the workshop from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. You get an access method that you can use to come in when it suits you. Firing and some glazes are included. In addition to a wide selection of tools that you can use to make your own ceramics.
How much does membership cost?
Membership costs vary depending on the duration. We offer different membership options available on our membership page. Prices include access to the workshop, firing, basic glazes, and use of all tools.
Can I cancel my membership?
Yes, you can cancel your membership. Please contact us by email at hei@coseda.no to discuss cancellation. Cancellation terms depend on your membership agreement.
Can I take courses as a member?
Yes, members can also take courses. As a member, you may receive discounts on courses. Courses are a great complement to independent work in the workshop and offer structured learning with experienced instructors.
Do I have to attend the orientation meeting?
Yes, the orientation meeting (Oppstartsmøte) is mandatory before you start as a member. Here you'll learn about the workshop, safety rules and equipment.
Can I bring my own materials?
As a member, you can bring your own materials as long as they are suitable for our kilns. Please check with us first to ensure your materials are compatible. For courses, we use the provided materials.
Is there a limit on how many works I can make as a member?
There is no fixed limit on the number of works you can make as a member. However, we ask for consideration and that you pick up your works in a timely manner so there is space for other members.
Courses
How do I book a course?
You can book a course directly on our website. Select the desired course and date, and fill out the booking form. You will receive a confirmation by email.
How long does a course last?
Course duration varies by course. Introduction courses typically last 3-4 hours, while advanced courses may span multiple sessions over several weeks. You can find the exact duration in the course description.
When can I pick up my finished ceramic works?
After the course, your works will be fired and glazed. This usually takes 3-6 weeks. You will receive an email or sms when your works are ready for pickup.
Are materials included in the course?
Yes, all materials such as clay, glazes and tools are included in the course price. You don't need to bring anything extra.

Can I use the workshop without membership?
The workshop is primarily reserved for members. If you want to use the workshop without membership, you can take a course where you have access to the workshop during course times. For regular use, we recommend membership.
Do I need experience?
No! We offer courses for all levels - from beginners to advanced. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the entire process.
Are there age restrictions?
For most courses and membership, there are no age restrictions. However, children under 16 should be accompanied by an adult. For special children's courses, please contact us directly.
What happens if my work breaks?
Ceramics can break during firing - unfortunately, this is a natural risk. If a work breaks during firing, we cannot replace it. However, as a member, you can create new works. We'll give you tips on how to minimize the risk.
What if I need help?
Our team is available during opening hours to answer questions. As a member, you can also ask other members for advice. For more complex questions or technical support, please contact us by email or visit during opening hours.
How does payment work?
You can pay by credit card, bank transfer, or other common payment methods. The exact payment options will be shown to you during the booking process. For memberships, payment is made once or monthly, depending on the option chosen.
Is there parking?
Yes, there is parking near the workshop. Availability may vary depending on the time of day. We recommend using public transportation when possible. The workshop is easily accessible by bus.
What can I use a gift card for?
Our gift cards can be used for memberships, courses or in our shop. They are valid for 2 years from the purchase date.
